EVALUATION OF EXPIRED AUGMENTINE DRUGS AS CORROSION INHIITOR FOR CARBON STEEL ALLOY IN 1.0 N HCl ACIDIC ENVIRONMENT USING ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES

Augmentin is a chemical mixture component medicine (co medicine) known as co-amoxiclav and it famous antibiotic used for treatment of number bacterial infections, so dangerous to be left in the environment after its expired harmful child’s, present work introduces an idea using form potential non-toxic (green ) corrosion inhibitor steel 1.0 N HCl. Five analytical techniques were evaluate inhibition performance co-amoiclav drugs namely gravimetric, atomic absorption spectroscopy(AAS), thermometric, gasometric, acidimetric technique. Effect drug dose, reaction temperature, pH studied. The was increased with increasing concentration decreased rising temperature by lowering values medium. maximum (97.8 % at 300 ppm. are good agreement each other’s (±2 %) indicating possibility nontoxic green industrial field like application petroleum industry lower pH.
